We are currently sold out of our chocolate Modjeskas. The box will be packed with 24 original Caramel Marshmallow Modjeskas.

We love these caramel coated marshmallows so much that we had to bring them to all of you! We don't dare go near them in our studio or we are sure to indulge!

We hand pack 24 assorted (12 Original and 12 Chocolate)in our brown ballotin with ribbon. These soft, caramel-coated marshmallows are handmade by a family-owned candy company in Kentucky using a recipe developed in the late 1800's. Handmade marshmallows are dipped in caramel made the traditional way in copper kettles. Each batch is hand poured, hand dipped and hand wrapped with exceptional care. Like us, you'll fall in love with the confection's soft texture and sweet homemade taste.

The chocolate caramels are infused with Guittard dark chocolate with the handmade marshmallow center.

A unique and memorable gift.
History of the Candy:

Modjeskas... Nope, it's not a word you'll find in Webster's dictionary; it's the name of a Polish actress. Madame Helena Modjeska, famed queen of the European stage, who appeared at the McCauley Theater in Louisville, Kentucky. Her appearance in 1883 was the U.S. debut of the play "A Doll's House" written by Henrick Ibsen. Her theatrical performance was enthralling to a patron attending this debut, Mr. Anton Busath, owner of Busath Candies, who was honored by an introduction to the beautiful actress. He asked and was granted permission to name his confection after her. The Kentucky made candy has been enjoyed ever since.

Modjeskas are still made the old fashioned way with pure ingredients. No shortcuts are ever taken.
